Just bought it today and couldn't put it down. This is a potent, powerhouse of an emotional journey. How one thing can take your life down such a dark and dangerous path.
These two have lost what no parent should. Then to go through the circles of hell. This book deals with death, addiction, mental health and finding your way home. Avette and Trini could be you or someone you know.
The world is a dark place but don't turn on those who love you because the light won't turn itself on and there is always someone who will help you find the way. A strong and raw read that should be read by everyone
I love it when an author writes in multiple genres and does it well. I've read every published book by Kimmie, and she's gone from a heartfelt and relatable gut-wrenching fiction novel to hot little quickies to romantic suspense and now to paranormal. I don't read a lot of shifter stories. It's not that I don't like them, I just for some reason don't go out of my way to search for them. But my interest was piqued to the max when I heard one of my go-to authors was putting out a shifter paranormal.
Marked by the Bear is a brand new series, and I love that we're going to get to revisit this world. I love Ruby and Kingston together. He's rough around the edges, he's a fierce protector, he's got a sheltered and battered heart, but when Ruby enters his life unexpectedly, he's a goner. I love his family and their tight bond. There's a lot of fun banter, teasing, and sweet moments. I love how Ruby is finding herself at home when she never expected to wind up there, but she was on the run and stumbled upon more issues.
The ending brought on a twist I never saw coming. The wait for more is going to keep me on my toes
I'm completely speechless! This is such a powerful and raw book, you can feel the emotion of the characters with every page turn. Kimmie Easly poured her heart and then some to get this book finished and I can just vow myself to her. Time and again I've praised her writing, her approach to strong and difficult subjects and her raw talent, this book just cements how I feel towards her and her writing. Trini and Avette have gone through so much together and the only thing I could do while going through the book was root for them to find their way back to each other, to climb the hole they fell to when their life was so abruptly shaken. Loved to have both POVs, their fight might have had different paths, but the outcome was the same, finding light and hope at the end of the tunnel.
A fantastic conclusion to one of my favorite series! As sad as I am to see Jade's story end, Kimmie sent the series out with style. With the twists and turns and smoking heat I've come to love from the author, Jade is on her way to finally her to getting everything her heart desires. She's a woman who knows what she wants and will fight for everything and everyone she holds dear and God help you if you stand in her way. A definite must read A long with the other 2 novels in the Jaded Series.
Beth Garrett is 27 and has used the inheritance from her Grandpa to buy The Long Branch bar but now she is struggling to keep it open and may lose it to foreclosure. She tends to keep her heart away from men in town and finds Eric Alexander just what she needs at the moment.
Eric challenges Beth to a wager that could result in her getting a new air conditioning unit. But will she get in over her head and maybe there is someone else who can give her what she really needs.
I really enjoyed this quick story about really discovering what you want maybe in front of you all along. I would have loved to have more of Beth and Wren and hopefully they can get another story soon that expands on everything!
I loved Beth and really want to know what ends up happening with her bar!
